До сих пор это?Flew in last August in the C182 from Moscow. Pain in the ar*e and then some...
1. It took ages to get permission.
2. If you get permission you will have to be very specific about routes, dates and times. If you need to leave earlier or later then you may need to re-apply for permission. That could take 5 working days (if you are lucky)
3. IFR only
4. St Petersburg stipulated that we had to land after midnight
5. There's no Avgas available
6. Handling on arrival was fantastic
7. Handling on departure was less than efficient. We arrived at the airport at something like 1300 and lined up for departure at something like 1900
8. I think it cost something like $600 in total
9. I don't know how you say flexibility in Russian and I don't think they know either
10. If you want to visit St Petersburg without the hassle, land in Tallinn and get a train/coach/boat/whatever
11 There really is no Avgas available, I had to borrow some from a Mooney or two.
