EMERYVILLEA small four-seat plane was forced to make an emergency landing on Interstate 80 near Ashby Avenue. The Cessna 172 landed at about 9 a.m. after the pilot reported trouble.According to witnesses, traffic was light when the plane landed. The plane knocked over a road sign as it skidded to the shoulder of the highway.The plane was en route from Redlands to Hayward. In addition to the pilot, the aircraft was carrying one passenger. No on was injured.

Кратко - в штатах любая постройка, превышающая определенный размер рядом с дорогой, может потребовать разрешения от FAA.
А в Неваде на прямых участках дорог изображение самолетика можно встретить - типа куда садиться.
